Fall Cheer Program Information

Wildcat Cheerleading is a fun, high-energy program that runs alongside the fall football season and focuses on teamwork, skill development, and school spirit. The season begins in late July, with practices held four evenings per week from 6:00–8:00 PM at Jaycees Field until school starts. Once the school year begins, practices will be reduced to two nights per week, with specific practice nights announced at a later date.

Games begin in late August and are held on Saturdays. Games typically last about two hours, with cheerleaders performing during halftime. Our cheerleaders support the football teams at both home and away games, and families should be prepared for travel as needed. If a football team advances to the playoffs, cheerleaders will continue cheering until the football season concludes. In addition to games, the cheer program proudly participates in community events, including the Westminster Fall Fest Parade in September and a performance during Fall Fest on Sunday along Longwell Avenue.

Beginning October 1, practices will move indoors. Indoor practice locations will be announced once space availability is confirmed. Practice nights may vary depending on indoor facility access. Once practices move indoors, they will be closed practices, limited to coaches and cheerleaders only.

During the fall season, Wildcat Cheerleading participates in two competitions, including a CCYFL League competition (location to be determined). As competition dates approach, an additional practice night will be added to help prepare the cheerleaders.

Cheerleading is a team sport and requires a strong commitment. Other activities should not conflict with practices, games, or competitions. Once practices move indoors and school schedules are involved, flexibility is required, as practice nights may occasionally change due to school events or availability.

Cheer squads are offered for ages:

Tiny: 4-6 Years Old

Minis: 8 & Under
